On Healthy Living is it mandatory for me, due to family history?

June 14th of year 2012 marks the 2nd year anniversary of my Mother's death. She died with ovarian cancer. Hence, I could not disregard the fact that our bloodline has cancer. This was already proven when my Uncle, younger brother of my Mom also died with colon cancer. Among the twelve siblings, including my mother, only three of them remained, some of them passed away at young age of "I don't even know the reason how they died". I am not against my family but they have this mindset of not approaching any health expert for health check up because they believed they might be deceived and may pay high amount of money if found sick. When I tried to argue with my mother when she was still alive yet sick, she only had this one reason of not going to hospital, she always said, "If I go, I will die there because the doctor won't let me get out. And we all pay these big amount of money. That's how my father died before.", the same reason I always got from my late grandmother, my mother's mother who just died last November 2011. That really made me feel sad until now, yet all I can do is to accept everything that had happened.

Delaying Gratification

I've been thinking a lot of things lately which made me lose track of what I'm supposed to do. Reading self help books from famous writers somehow assist my intentions. I always say to myself, "delaying gratification!!" for the purpose of holding up my desire for hasty decisions which could backfire in the end. Been experienced it before, all these spontaneous attitude that had put me in the right places yet also with the wrong direction. Right, in a sense, that I get enjoyment and satisfaction while wrong in terms of dealing the after event situations.
I would like to keep it balanced for the moment, being spontaneous as well as planning the outcome for I really suck in handling affairs afterwards.

Delaying gratification. People asked me about it, I'd say, the things you desired most and should get it immediately or just granting your wants, pampering yourself right away with those worldly matters prioritizing your wants than your needs. An instant gratification per se, like I craved and want to eat ice cream, then, bought all those icy creamy chocolaty drooling your mouth out with satisfaction, yet at the end I got lactose intolerance, carbo imbalance and brain performance fluctuation due to the huge amount of sugar I ate.

Now, been disciplining myself to at least holdup those instant wants and keep in mind that peanut butter story is a farce.

Balingasag Trip Jan 14-15, 2012

Balingasag is a municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines, a one hour ride from Cagayan de Oro City. It costs PHP50.00 (non-AC) to 80.00 (air conditioned buses), updated cost as of January 2012, trip started from Agora Terminal up to Balingasag Terminal.

The trip was very exciting and spontaneous. Last minute decision in which I decided to go with my friend after he invited me on a road trip to Balingasag, Misamis Oriental for the Feast of Santo Niño. It was around 8:00 PM when we arrived in the said town. We looked for "trisikad", another ride for us to reach our destination. While hanging on a ride, we noticed that ten or more sikads were behind us right on the same road with energetic drivers and later found ourselves in an amazing race of trisikads(dang, i haven't taken pictures of it). Ha ha!

Anyways, as we arrived at my friend's Aunt's place, it's kind of bit awkward since it was my first time to stay in some stranger's house. But as we got near the doorstep, I never expected how warm and friendly welcome we met along with the people inside. We then settled in a room, ate a lot of food then gone and hung out with newly acquainted individuals.

Our first stop was to observe the beauty of People's Palace building as we went along the road going to the town's depot.

And settled near the bay side (100 meters away from the palace), the night was perfect, we could see the shore because it was low tide that time.

As we went to the next stop, we dropped by the park just beside the People's Palace and appreciated  the place with the crowd in it.

Now here's the climax of the endless night, the part where my blood really sought for satisfaction ever since - party! hahaha! LoLs! The party was just along the street, yet so many people danced and had so much fun.

Fun fun fun had never ended that night, it all just gotten started when the sun came out. Ha ha ha!

As we woke up in the morning, we decided to tour around the town. And yes, we saw places that really amazed us, unfortunately, I haven't took hundreds of them. (really sad).

Furthermore, as the night followed, we went to the seashore, witnessed lanterns flown up in the sky and had not taken pictures(again). I only took this, ;-)

Had so much fun while I was there. I looked forward to visit again sometime. Thank you for the hospitality of the Vidal family especially Janice, never had much fun and also Rey Marvin for inviting me. ;-P

Lesson learned: IF YOU BRING CAMERA, CAPTURE ALL OF THEM.

Start blogging

I woke up early in the morning today, took a bath and got readied for the events that I planned to do for the day. But got changed when someone messaged and told me that appointment was cancelled. Well, as part of my personality, to be spontaneous all the time, I already had plan B, in which expanded into plan C then plan D. Everything was not as expected as I wanted it to be, I then thought, "Oh well that's how it's going to be.", instead of being upset because everything got out of my plan.

I attended Mass twice, since I arrived late in the 12 O'clock schedule hence, planned to attend in the evening and went up great. As I was in the Mass, an idea came up in my mind and this was the result. I won't expect more of this, but let me see if I can make more blogs in the future. Hehehe. Welcome Lester to my first blog.
